| Somewhere, in the mists of legend and fable, there are secret places where gnomes, fairies, elves and other "Wee People" live, work and play. You might just catch unexpected glimpses of these little hidden spots beneath leaves, under bridges, behind your closet door, under a flower petal or perhaps in a quilt. These small, secret places are special for each person because each person creates them according to the limits of their own individual imagination and of course, imagination has no limits. | |

655-3 The March Wee House
March is a delightful, blustery month and our Wee Village reflects that! The Wee House is sturdy to stand against the winds that threaten the Dandelion crop (the fuzz is spun and woven into soft downy cloth for Wee Clothes, Wee Quilts and other needs). Candy Tuft flowers (these are flavored like blueberry pie) are also ready to harvest. Wonderful details and ideas for imaginative quilters in this 13+ page packet! $8.95 Details and Setting Options |

655-3B The Necessary
In "polite" company, one refers to the -- hmm, little house out back as the "Necessary". Even in the Wee Village, this structure comes with all the amenities including Moon Shaped Vent, Wild Rose and Floral "air freshener" (could be shamrocks in green too!) and of course some very squeezeable Necessary paper. Designed as a "transition block" to fit between or even behind Wee Houses and conceal seams between blocks, The Necessary caught the imagination of quilters around the world! Some have been embellished with Wee Catalogues or newspapers -- others come in Pink and Blue! How will you do yours? The 11 page packet includes all the motifs AND placement guides for the Necessary! $8.95 Details and Setting Options |

655-GC The Wee Carousel
This delightful fantasy block was designed as a special treat for the members of the Wee Village Quilt Group on Yahoo! and they have really had fun with it! Imagine beads for eyes on the pipe organs to make little faces, or changing the "steeds" to be all unicorns, Pegasus', or "Sea Horses" and then embellishing them with ribbons, roses, beads and other great ideas. A full 14 pages are in the packet and include placement diagrams too! Fast, easy appliqué fun! $8.95 Details and Setting Options |

655-HQ1 The Wee Ogre's Den
Ogre's are, at least within the Wee Village, shy creatures who enjoy reading fairy tales and cultivating exotic mushrooms like the Butterscotch flavored ones shown in this block. Our Scandinavian Wee Village Quilt group members inform us that Ogre's also turn to stone when exposed to the sunlight so the large shady mushroom and ferns are perfect for this Wee House. A great "transition" block as the largest mushroom will cover a seam, the packet has 13+ pages of fun. $8.95 Details and Setting Options |

655-4 The April Wee House
Margo's April House is a snug haven from all those showers that come during the month with the lovely vine that curls right over the door way to form a delightful "porch". Great in any color combination, especially with the Dewdrops that arch overhead. These easy to appliqué blooms will form a lovely heart design when two sets of flowers are used and one is reversed! All in all, a fast fun project just waiting for your choice of fabrics and most especially, your imagination! This design pack has 14+ pages! $8.95 Details and Setting Options |

655-5 The May Grist Mill
Our Wee Village inhabitants are busy getting ready for Winter! The tiny mill hidden beside the stream is grinding Wee Flour for baked goodies. Sheaves of grain and cat tails conceal the Wee Mill from prying eyes and trail the river into the adjoining blocks for a wonderful, three block scene that can be reversed to fit anywhere in your Wee Village. This design pack has 15+ pages of pure fun! $8.95 Details and Setting Options |

655-6 Anastasia's Wee Castle
Anastasia is a very special young quilter that Margo felt deserved a very special corner of the Wee Village all for herself. The Wee Castle nestles beside the waterfall from the Wee Grist Mill river and is cloaked in misty green willow trees that just might conceal fairies! Of course, the Tower could also have a stairway to slide down, a lovely garden to dig and play in or quilters of all ages could take a dip in the lake with a mermaid or two! You imagination will make this one of the most magical blocks of the entire Wee Village! This design pack has 17+ pages! $8.95 Details and Setting Options |

655-6B The Wee Fisher Elf's Cottage
A brand new Transition Block for the Wee Village! Components may be placed over seams to give the Wee Village an unbroken appearing background, or the Wee Fisher Elf's Cottage can be a stand alone design. The bridge is perfect for Trolls and Billy Goats to face off on and our "fishing lure" light house is sheer fun! This design pack has 16+ pages! $8.95 Details and Setting Options |

655-7 The Court House
Now where else would elves, gnomes, trolls and fairies do their Courting? At the Wee Court House of course! Naturally, pompous Wee Politicians can make speeches in front of the structure too if the occasion is special enough. Margo created this design not only with the American celebration on the 4th of July in mind, but for all quilters. The window over the triple door way can be used to indicate the name and date for the quilt while the flag has been left deliberately blank so that every quilter can add their nation or maybe even create one especially for the Wee Village. The door may be made open or shut as well. This design pack has 12 + pages! $8.95 Details and Setting Options |

655-pin01 The Wee Village 2003 Pin Block
When the Wee Village Quilt Group suggested a collectible pin for the Wee Village, Margo got out her sketches and with the input from the entire group, began to draw a very special design that had mushrooms, easy to do flowers and of course, a very special Wee House. Since she'd never designed jewelry this was a new challenge for her and with the help of Pin Peddlers, the design was refined through several versions to the image shown on the left. Margo kept all the versions and, now, has put them together into the largest Wee Village Pattern pack ever! This design pack has 21 + pages and includes not only the templates, placement guides and coloring sheets to duplicate the actual pin, but the same for her original design & several intermediate motifs! Make one, or make all the versions! $10.95 Details and Setting Options |

655-8 The Wee Candy Shop
Even Ogre's, Trolls, Elves and Fairy's have a sweet tooth and sometimes honey or flower nectar just isn't enough to satisfy that craving so they indulge in “exotic Big People” sweets. Cupcakes, lollipops, ice cream and a candy cane are just starters for creative quilters. Who will be the first to add a gingerbread boy fence? Or how about chocolate kiss flower beds? Cookie stepping stones? This “sweet” little house even has windows large enough for displays of other favorite treats and of course, the door can be open or closed to provide even more views of the interior. This design pack has 14 + pages! $8.95 Details and Setting Options |

655-CQ01 The Wee Library
Oh the fun we had designing this one! The books can be stacked in any width you would like, the labels are blank and are perfect for embroidering dates and names of the quilt maker! The little niche is perfect for perching little elves or gnomes and what makes it even better is there are two versions in the quilt packet! Our heating stove "pipe" can blow either smoke or bubbles! We even hid another surprise in the tree's! Simply cut out two of the leaf clusters in bright colors, rotate, and form lovely stylized butterfly motifs! This design pack has 13 + pages! $8.95 Details and Setting Options |

655-9 The September Sunflower House
Harvest time is starting in the Wee Village! Gnomes, elves and all the Wee Folk are gathering the wild sunflower seeds and storing them away for wonderful treats like nut butter, flours and other necessary but delicious items. The Wee Wishing Well is ready as well, with it’s thimble bucket. Imaginative quilters may use ribbon for a rope or embroider the finer details. It could be where the leprechauns, trolls and ogre’s hide their treasures too so some may decide to fill it up with shiny buttons, sequins, pearls or other precious things. This design pack has 13 + pages! $8.95 Details and Setting Options |

655-10 The Wee Haunted Castle
Our magical Wee Village had to have a haunted house and when better than at Halloween? Our Wee Folk might tip toe up to the door for Trick Or Treat but they’ll soon find out that the Wee Ghosties are friendly folk. If you want a really fearsome mushroom castle, change the lower narrow windows to fangs, the patio into a lower jaw (see the teeth?) and the door into the throat and you’ll have a magnificent beast lurking in among the rattling tree limbs. This design pack has 14 + pages! $8.95 Details and Setting Options |

655-10B The Wee Haunted Pumpkin
Margo couldn’t help herself! The idea of a jolly Jack O Lantern House for the Wee Village came right along with the Haunted Castle and she couldn’t decide which to offer – so she did both! The Wee Haunted Pumpkin House will delight quilters with an imagination. The entire expression can be changed by turning the corners of the mouth or removing them. Our little House’s windows can be changed to make funny faces, startled ones or even scary images! I can just imagine a Wee Mouse peeking out at Wee Trick Or Treater’s! The bare tree is a great way to conceal seams and merge blocks so create as many of those as you care too and the large mushroom cluster will work anywhere in the Wee Village as a transition between blocks. This design pack has 15 + pages! $8.95 Details and Setting Options |

655-11 The Wee Tea House
Whether you give the “Bonsai” trees autumn plumage or sparkly “ice” twinkles, this Wee House is going to be a stand out addition to the Wee Village. The Wee inhabitants have a stockpile of acorns that are multipurpose: nuts for flour and baked treats, shells for cups and the caps will serve trolls as protective hats against falling icicles all winter long. The Wee Tansy bush is right beside the door, ready to offer both blooms and leaves for hot tea too. All in all, this is one of the coziest places in the Wee Village. This design pack has 17 + pages! $8.95 Details and Setting Options |

655-12 The Wee What You Will House
Our December House has three different sizes of pine trees to blend in with those found in the January House to bring the village full “circle”. Of course, you may decorate for the Holidays, or turn this into a Wee Shop. The large window is perfect for showing off a Christmas tree, menorah, wee bolts of fabric or other delights. The Bitter Sweet adds a bright touch to the house and the two color leaves give extra dimension. This design pack has 16 + pages! $8.95 Details and Setting Options |

655-Border The 2003 Wee Village Border
The 2003 Wee Village Quilt needed an extra special border especially
for all the imaginative quilters who have brought Margo’s Wee Houses to
life. She left the interior of the quilt open to show the scale of
each of the 16 motifs that are used within the border which is scaled not
only to the 14” blocks of the quilt, but as close to actual life size plants
as possible. The possible combinations, settings and colorings of
the Border motifs are almost endless, so whether you choose a more ‘formal’
border with the branches and leaves in the corners, a wild tangle where
appliquéd birds, trolls and ladybugs may hide, whether you have
the border completely on the background or extending beyond it to become
very dimensional, or perhaps a choice using all the ideas, it will be your
image of your Wee Village.
