The Bywater Inne was originally the home of Mungo and Honeysuckle Millstone,
two of the Wee Folk we call Brownies. The Millstones were tiny, good-natured,
but often mischeivous creatures as are all of their kind and it is known
that children of the near by Big Folks town could easily see them though
they remained invisible to the adults. After their offspring
were grown and had moved out, Mungo and Honeysuckle ‘retired’ and used
their excellant housekeeping skills to create the Bywater Inne, naming
it for it’s proximity to the sparkling spring and water fall that furnishes
the Wee Village all it needs for drinking and washing.
